My name is Mitchell Johnson and I am a 6'3" 215 pound junior Outside Linebacker at West Linn High School in West Linn Oregon. As a sophomore, I shared snaps at varsity with a junior teammate. That was my first year playing varsity. As a junior I started most of the season at outside linebacker in the run heavy Three Rivers League. My varsity playing time as a junior has prepared me well for the upcoming season where I look to take a leadership role and to make first team all-league and state. Since the third grade I have wanted to play football in college. I have the work ethic, study habits and desire to make this happen. I believe my size, speed and ability to cover wide receivers and stop the run make me a multi-faceted talent. I have the ability to add weight without diminishing my speed. My father built a gym in our house so I have access to a gym at all times. I work out every day at my gym, at the school or with my trainers to improve my skills, size and speed. Speed, agility and a knack for knowing where the ball is set me apart this year at my position. Through football I have learned leadership, responsibility, competitiveness, teamwork, dedication, and to never give up. I am very competitive in everything I do. Another one of my goals is to graduate college with a degree. I am interested in business, physical sciences and physics. I have excellent study habits that are reflected in my current grade point average. I am working on improving my grades each day. When I am not playing football or studying I love to workout, volunteer through my church, go on mission trips and fly fish. I also play Lacrosse and was selected to the USA Today All State Team as a Sophomore. Over the off season this year I want to attend camps on the west coast and maybe on the east coast.
