Personal Statement

I have always loved the game of football and it has always been my dream to play at the highest level. I understand that school comes first and will push myself to excel in the classroom and on the field. While I am focusing on school and sports I try to be the best classmate and teammate I can be, always treating everyone with respect. I will do whatever I need to do to excel in sports and in school. It is my personal goal not to just be the best player I can be but also be the best person I can be. I realize it takes a lot of work to become a college football player and outstanding student but I am willing to push myself to make that dream come true.

  • 2021 YC Tiger Football (YC - Tigers 8th Grade Year)
  • Tyler's 7/8 grade Football team went undefeated this year. Tyler made tremendous efforts in all positions he played, mainly Middle linebacker and full/half back. Tyler is also the leading kicker for the team. He rarely would come out for a break, often only grabbing water during quarter changes and timeouts. Tyler excels in not only being a leader on his team but is one of the biggest hearts and most motivating players, always celebrating other's achievements.

Training

  • HS Weight Training
  • 4 years
  • I meet several times a week for guided weight training with my team and coaches. Afterwards we usually move to the field for some drills. I try to work out as much as I can when I'm not already in another active sport. I also workout in my home gym when I can. I also took up farming this year as a good way to workout and get paid to do it - bucking hay has been a game changer.

  • 3 years
  • 2024, 2023, 2022The Northwest Showcase delivered a 700-athlete camp loaded with quality teams, include elite D1, D2, D3 and more. It was remarkably well-organized and streamlined to get its athletes reps at the correct competition level. I entered two sessions, one a tight end and the other as a linebacker. It was my third year and I feel it is one of the best camps to get exposure and reps. I look forward to it next year as well.

There were approx. 200 athletes in attendance and full coaching staff and current players running drills. It focused on developing skills in various positions for all 9-12 grade athletes as well as anyone in JC or entered into the portal. I was able to work with coaches and players - we toured campus and got to see the facilities. During camp we focused on drills related to our position - I worked directly with the Linebackers. Our parents then joined us for the tour and speeches from coaches discussing opportunities to join the team and what to expect as incoming athletes. It was a full day of activities and I really enjoyed the experience.
