Football and wrestling have played an extremely large role in my physical activity the last 8 years of my life. In addition to that, I have succeeded in accomplishing a high grade point average despite my grueling schedule. What really has kept me staying the course is my desire, passion and commitment that I have personally set for myself. I am in pursuit of becoming a football player for a Division 1 School, and then a Professional Football Player for the NFL who retires from a successful career and becomes a Head Coach for a Division 1 School. During my career I want to volunteer my time starting clinics around the country helping young athletes mentally and physically overcome discouragement and obstacles they will encounter while trying to fulfill their dream.
Throughout my sports career, I have taken measurable steps to help myself develop leadership qualities and to become a well rounded individual. I read motivational & inspirational quotes, say positive affirmations, listen to motivational talks & speeches that football and wrestling coaches have said throughout the years, keep an "as if" attitude, spend countless hours viewing past highlight clips and games , study the game & its techniques. I attend camps & clinics, I train beyond what the school requires me to. I always take time to help other players with their plays & drills, give positive pep talks to other teammates. I have volunteered my coaching services to the Girls Powder Puff Football, Youth Flag Football , Trojan Football Camp, Novice Wrestlers. I also have volunteered my services at 3 cancer fund raising events and a walk for autism.
I feel the direction I really need to take to achieve my goal is for me to receive a Bachelors Degree in Sport Science or Sports and Fitness Management. With this being said, I would like to go to a university that will challenge me academically and athletically.
I am very much looking forward to the coaches and the university that will be there for me to fulfill my dreams.
