Sports and the medical field have always been my number one priority. I have loved sports and played them throughout my life. On the medical side of things, my sister went to college for nursing and is now a nurse in the ER. Since she’s made this accomplishment, I have been highly motivated and determined to follow in her footsteps. When someone was hurt or injured, I would be the first to try and help them. My grandfather recently has been diagnosed with PSP (Progressive supranuclear palsy) and I have been taking care of him. Taking care of people has always been something I have enjoyed. Taking care of people as a career is what I can imagine myself doing. On the other hand, playing sports, such as football and rugby, gave me valuable traits like being a team player, easily working with others, the ability to adapt, and overcome. With these traits an individual could easily work with others. The ability to work with others is a key trait everyone needs. Besides being able to work with others easily, I am the type of person to step up and take lead. Helping guide the ones around me and helping them push through and triumph over a task is my way of leading. For example, I have started and lettered for 3 years of football. I would always help the young players and make sure they knew what we were doing. Even back in elementary and middle school, in MCAA, the class of 2022 moon kids were triumphant. We went back-to-back undefeated and had that game publicly televised. 2 years ago I was part of the team who won their conference. The experiences acquired from football, Rugby, and family motivate me to study and pursue my career in the medical profession and for a football career past high school.
