My collegiate goal is to prepare myself for a successful career by challenging myself to be the best I can be. Competing in collegiate football is one way I hope to challenge myself. As a member of the football team, I hope to contribute significantly to my team's success. To that extent, I will set a positive example by giving all that I have to the team and always encouraging my teammates, and my conduct will always reflect positively on the team, on and off the field.
I have played football for twelve years and have been a kicker for ten years, beginning at age seven when my coach discovered I had the talent. Since then, I have contributed to my teams’ successes, twice kicking game-winning field goals/extra points, as well as setting four school records: most career field goals (varsity), most career extra points (varsity), most field goals in a single season (varsity), most field goals in a single game (varsity), and longest field goal (middle school). In addition, I have been a quarterback for eleven years, which is a potential asset for a team that is looking for a versatile kicker who can execute fake field goals. As the starting quarterback in my senior year, I led my team to an undefeated 8-0 season and both a conference and district championship. I also led the conference in passing yards and points scored. In addition, I was honored as All-State quarterback, conference offensive MVP, 1st Team quarterback, and 1st Team kicker. As a kicker and quarterback, I have learned to overcome the pressure associated with critical game situations.
I have continually improved my distance and accuracy by attending kicking camps and competitions. Not only do I strive to improve my ability as a kicker, but I also strive to improve the lives of others by performing volunteer activities in my church, a local children's home, Meals on Wheels, and a Veterans Administration Clinic.
In my junior and senior years, I was selected by my football and basketball coaches and administrators to represent my high school on the East Penn Conference Leadership Council. This selection is based on leadership qualities, as well as athletic and academic performance. I was also selected as the Scholar-Athlete by the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation. In Addition, I was recently named to the National Football Foundation's Team of Distinction for 2021.
Wherever my collegiate career takes me, I will be committed to my academic and athletic endeavors, and I am confident that I would be an asset to your program.
