 2024 Spotlight
2024 SpotlightMy name is Gavin Plona. I am 6'and 250lbs. I play center, offensive guard, offensive tackle, and defensive tackle. I have been a top performer and team motivator for my teams for the past 5 seasons. At age 6, I started playing up 1-2 years due to the weight restrictions. For my 9U season, I was too heavy for the 9 year old team and played for the 10 year old team. By game 3 I dropped the weight and continued the season starting for both teams. That year both teams won the championship and I received MVP. Last season, for my 13U team, I was the starting center and team captain. We won both the NESAC and Mid-Atlantic regional Championships. I also played for the NESAC All-Star team, YEA Sports Philly Flamers All-Star team, and the Philadelphia Little Quakers All-Star team. I was also recognized as one of the top five centers for my age group in the Mid-Atlantic region by 302 Elite Athletes. I was invited to participate in the 302 Elite Athletes All-Star team and Combine, which I had to decline due to restrictions with my high school league. I am extremely motivated to continue working hard throughout my high school and college careers and I believe I will be an asset to my current and future teams. I also excel in the classroom and have a 4.02 GPA. This is something I take great pride in as I have dyslexia and I work extremely hard to make sure my grades stay at the top of the class.
