Owen was often grouped with high schoolers and received multiple compliments on his footwork with LB and WR drills, along with his route running/ catching. He was praised by the Coaching staff on being eager, willing to learn/ process commands and coachable. He earned Camp Standout/ MVP

Owen Was grouped in the "Middle School" bracket and the Camp was split into two practices. Morning/ Afternoon. He greatly underperformed in the morning session. He did improve in the second half practice but still made many mental errors. I fully believe based on how I know he can play and what I saw of the competition, Owen would have been top 3-4 WR on the field but did not play up to his abilities. He did make some plays but whole body of work on the day was lacking.

Owens dad- "Owen was the only 8th grader among mostly Juniors and Seniors. This was also his first camp. It was definitely a learning moment on multiple levels and seeing the degree of competition at the high school level. He was above average at the agility drills, often beating his high school opponents. He did well during competition on offense, often winning the route but dropped more balls than expected. I don't know if lack of concentration, increase velocity on ball from High Schoolers. IDK. He did well on defense during competition with simple schemes. Once more complex schemes started being introduced, Owen would lose assignment and get confused at times.
