I come from a middle-class family. I started playing football at the age of four as soon as I touch the ball and scored and reached the end zone football became my first love. As I got older and started playing tackle football I developed my game into a running back/slot receiver. My time at Fairlawn was very good and I had a lot of people in my corner . I will never forget our unbeatable seasons with only two lost games. My last year in football I went on the Blackstone valley football trip to Florida. We were the first team ever from Rhode Island to place third place in the nation or to even place for the nation. My freshman year I went to Shea high school where I then played varsity and started JV. The first game of the year, my first game on varsity I scored a touchdown. We had a big crowd and once I hit the Endzone people were going crazy for me and at that moment I fell deeply in love with the game. As the season went on I work very hard in both JV and varsity seasons when I got in to play. Every time I got in on varsity I did very good which helped us keep our lead that the varsity starters had already kept. We later have found ourselves to be undefeated that year and we won the state championship. I was very excited because that was my freshman year and I won a ring. As my freshman year came to an end I then transferred to Saint Raphael Academy. Because I had played varsity minutes at Shea high school I was not able to play the first half of my next varsity season at Saint Rays. Even though I was not able to play I still did my best to be the best example of the person that we had to worry about for the next game and at the games I was the loudest on the sidelines and encouraging my team to go out and fight even if we were down. I love the game and no matter what I’m always going to have heart and passion for it. As I got to play I came out strong with about one touchdown and about a 8 solo tackles. As we played other games I’ve scored and did a solid job on defense. One game I did not score because our quarterback had gotten injured and couldn’t play that well so I had to play quarterback and we ran the option that week. Now onto the academic side, I know that academics will always take me farther than a football, which is why I try my best to maintain both academics and football. These next two years my plan is to strive to get even better grades and honor roll. I know odds are against me, but I feel like in basketball you have to be a certain size to play, but in football it’s your toughness against his and I believe that my heart and my toughness will be better than the next guy. At the end of the day I want people to see that i’m more than an athlete, i’m a person who is willing strive to be the best person I can be for myself and everyone else.
