My parents tell me that I was born with a football in my hands. I used to reenact the plays that NFL teams did on Sundays at the end of my parents bed every Sunday. My Grandfather gave me one of his big t-shirts for a jersey, and my dad bought me a pair of shoulder pads and helmet, and I was off and running. I first played organized football at the age of 4, I was a touchdown scoring machine on my flag team, and a linebacker who pulled everybody's flag. I have always dreamed of playing for my hometown high school's team, and going on to the next level of college football. I want to do so to lessen the financial burden of higher education on my parents, by using my God given talent to obtain a scholarship.
I am dedicated as a student-athlete, I train almost daily for my sports, and I am working hard to meet my goal of being named to the Academic All State team my senior year. I am a leader both on the field and off. I was named Team Captain of my Freshman Football Team, and will be aiming for the same title going into the upcoming season. I will attend summer school to get ahead in my studies and bolster my GPA. I will also be studying for the SAT/ACT each summer so that when the time comes I can ace them.
I volunteer with my church and also in my community working with younger kids. Given the opportunity my goal is obtain a four year degree in Business, so that I can pursue my dream to be a Sports Management Expert. By doing so I will make not only my family proud, but be an inspiration to kids like me who want to play the game they love and excel in life afterwards.
