Football has taught me to push beyond my limits in order to be my best self for the betterment of the team. No one works harder than me, and I always give it my all. These are not just words but a mentality I put into action. I wake up every day at 4:30 a.m. I must drive over 30 minutes to school, but I am still in the gym by 6:00 a.m. in order to lift before practice. After practice, I lift some more. I am recognized by the coaches as one of the hardest working athletes. My efforts have made me the strongest pound-for-pound player on the team and one of the strongest players-period. Due to my strength, I also compete in powerlifting. In March 2021, I broke the Texas State Squat Powerlifting Record squatting 685 pounds (equipped). I received the Outstanding Squat Award at both State and Regionals. I placed 3rd overall at State and was the Regional Powerlifting Champion. Due to my speed and endurance, which are a direct result of my conditioning, I also successfully compete in track and field and am a district champion pole vaulter.
My desire to be great in whatever I do translates into tangible results outside of football as well. My profile details my other athletic, academic and extracurricular accomplishments. I strive to motivate my teammates through my example on and off the field. The work ethic of my coaches and teammates motivates me as well. After all, Celina is a powerhouse football team in a powerhouse state for a reason.
I am looking for a university or college where I can not only continue my football career but also receive an outstanding education. While I love football, I know my future success is dependent on the quality of my collegiate education. Therefore, the academic reputation of the university or college is of utmost importance.
