My name is Michael Maloto and I am a Sophomore at Judson High School in Converse, Texas. Judson High School has a rich tradition of success. As I approach my Junior year, I am excited about the prospect of continuing my education as well as my football career. I hope to attend a college that will provide me with an education that I can apply when my playing days are over. I am still undecided on my major. However, I am considering Physical Education or possibly something in Sports Medicine.
I am confident that I can be an asset on the football field for the right college. I consider myself a dual threat quarterback. I pride myself on having the ability to manage the passing game as well as the running game. The offensive system that we run is an up tempo read offense. To run this offense, Quarterbacks must have the ability to quickly and accurately read defenses and take what the defense gives them.
I understand that there are a lot of physically talented Quarterbacks. I think what sets me apart are my leadership skills. I have been playing quarterback since I was five years old. I learned at an early age that being a leader is more than running an offense. It is about setting the example for teammates and peers, putting in the work when nobody is watching and instilling in others a winning attitude.I always strive to maintain my composure even under the most stressful circumstance. We have one simple belief "Hard work beats talent...when talent doesn't work hard". So I ask myself after every practice and every workout...."did I get better today?".
