The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. At age 17, I lived a decent life, thanks to my Parents. I have my needs (Food, Clothing, and Shelter). However, I have had my share of obstacles. I remember when I had to take a lower-level class in English because I was not doing well in the higher-level class. I was upset and disappointed when I was informed. My mom told me to expect disappointments in life. How you overcome it, makes you a better and stronger person.
I am shy and quiet. I am the most talkative when I am playing football or talking about sports. I play the running back and linebacker positions on my high school football team. We had a terrible season this year. We did not win a game all season. As one of the team captains, I was extremely disappointed and frustrated. I attended every practice, after-game practice, and film session, even on Saturday mornings. I am still disappointed as an athlete. But I realize with the help of my parents, it was time to move on.
My parents have always preached the concept of college and how it broadens your knowledge I am looking forward to graduating from High School and furthering my education. My love for the sport (Football) and my determination to obtain a great and affordable education is my top priority.
I love talking and playing sports. I would like to get a football scholarship to further my education and lessen the financial burden on my parents. My disappointment on my high school team has made me a better student and a more focused and determined young man. Hopefully, I will get a scholarship to any University to further my educational dream and play football.
