Personal Statement
I'm a dedicated student and a hard-working athlete who brings a big heart, sharp mind, and determination to any task that is giving to me. These last four years I have spent preparing for this next chapter in life. I hold a 3.97 GPA and take six college-level courses a year; such as IB Language Studies-Literature, IB Math Applied Interpretations, IB History of the Americas, IB Environmental Systems, IB Language Studies Spanish, and IB Film. I'm not going to lie, this has been challenging but I have managed to excel in them. On top of juggling football and studies, I have also maintained being a National Honors Society Inductee at Woodrow Wilson High School for 3 Years.
Let's talk football!!! I take that same self-determination, hard work, and perseverance to the field. I have been mentored by former NFL offensive lineman Luke Joeckel while attending Woodrow Wilson High School. I also committed to training most of my summers with Luke's brother David Joeckel working on offensive line specific drills, techniques, and speed/agility drills. Most recently I worked with Donald Hawkins former NFL offensive lineman focusing on offensive line techniques and identifying areas of improvement. I love to put in the work and learn. It's this dedication that allowed me to play varsity football since my sophomore year.
