Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley which is located near the US-Mexican border, I was witness to the many struggles and poverty my community suffered. I vowed to change my future, dedicate myself to my studies, church and football. Football has always been my passion and outlet for me. As a member of the community, I service my church by assisting in community event like the yearly Fall Festival where we raise money for improvised families, support the CCE classes and churches organizations.
As a team member for the Edinburg North Cougars, I dedicate myself and skills to improve our overall performance. I understood quickly that part of being a great football player is knowing how to play as part of a team and support my fellow team members. I attend every practice on time and give my 100 percent every time I step out in the field. Playing football allows me to enjoy the art of the game, read my opponents and have fun. Football has shaped me into the person I am today; I learned to be disciplined, constantly pushing myself to be a better vision of myself by practicing and taking in the advice of my coaches.
Outside of football, I enjoy baseball, fishing, hunting and spending time with my family and friends. These activities have taught me to be patient and wait for a big catch, which in turn has helped me to be patient in life. Currently, I’m ranking top twenty-five percent of my class, daily I am working on my grades to improve my ranking because besides of aspiring to one day become a professional football player; I would like to study Criminal Justice to become a Game Warden. A football scholarship would allow me to excel both in football and academics. I have been on the A and B honor for the duration of my high school years, been awarded Perfect Attendances and Excellence Award, and have received an award for BEST Defensive Player 2018.
