Thornton Barton '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Thornton (Thor) Barton and I live in Edna, Texas. I am a senior at Edna High School and play starting offensive right guard on the varsity team. I have been playing football every season since I was 5 years old. In 2019/2020 I was selected to play with the Coastal Bend 11u Texas Youth Football All Stars Showcase team. 

Football is my passion and has been for as long as I can remember. My goal is to be recruited by a college and continue to the NFL. I work hard to improve every game and push myself everyday to be better on the field. Working with a new o line coach this season has helped me recognize where I need work and target my training to address that and improve my skills. He has really pushed me to be a better player. I have also recently started playing golf to help with my finesse both on and off the field.

Academics are important to me because I know it will help me attain my goal of football recruitment and scholarship.

In my free time I like to fish and play golf and hang out with my family.
