Brandon Layne '12 Recruiting Profile

I am 5 foot 11 inches tall and weigh about 185 pounds. I am a hard worker on and off the field, I don't like to lose, I am a winner and expect to win. When my team is down I am a clutch player, when we're losing bad I still play like it's a tie game. I am not scared to hit people or get hit. I'm patient in the pocket and make plays, I scan the field and don't pick one receiver to throw to or pick what route I am going to throw to before the play even starts. I don't expect to play right away but I do plan to work hard and compete for a spot on the field. Some people call me small for a quarterback but I make size mean nothing when I am on the field. It's a mentallity that I have and I try to prove. I've been playing quarterback since freshman year, I had never played before and I on a personal level think I"m a quick learner. My junior year, I started and received 1st team all-district honors. Sophomore year I started at safety and received honorable mention. I'm not picky about where the college I will attend will be. I want to get the best school possible for education as well as athletics. Accounting and Business will be the major that I will be taking. Financial wise I have one parent and hope to receive a scholarship to take the stress off my mom. I do think I throw well and can be the best with hard work and good instruction.
