My desire is to compete at a college level football program that utilizes a spread offense and is looking for an accurate, intelligent, and elusive quarterback.
I understand the value of hard work and the importance of a positive attitude. This has given me focus and drive to play at the next level. My father was a multi-sport collegiate athlete. From his experiences he taught me strong character and the importance of setting high standards and achieving my goals. Through my high school career in multiple sports I have learned how to compete and succeed. Even though, physically, I am a late bloomer, my sophomore year I squated over 325 pounds and bench pressed over 225 pounds and I will continue to increase my strength, speed and size.
I have challenged myself academically to take as many dual credit and advanced placement courses that I can. Upon high school graduation I will have completed approximately 24 hours of college credit. Through hard work and discipline, I compete in multiple varsity sports and take as many advanced classes as possible, while maintaining a 3.9 GPA.
Being the son and grandson of a football coach, I was given the opportunity to execute complex football schemes at a very early age. Even prior to junior high, I was successfully reading and completing smash routes, high low combinations and outside vertical stretches. I have been taught sound mechanics, effective footwork and proper technique. Training at an early age has helped me to develop great vision on the field and execute multiple reads against desquised coverages. I have good quickness and the ability to evade, but through my training I have learned the value of check-downs and gained a comfort in delivering accurate deep balls from the pocket. I understand the importance of protecting the football and taking what the defense gives you as illustrated by throwing only 4 interceptions in the past 2 years with more than 30 touchdowns.
I have a deep desire to contribute to a passing program that can utalize my incredible accuracy, football knowledge and desire for success.
