Kitrell Phillips '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to be a good example of what it takes to be a hardworking collegiate student athlete.  My ambition is not to let adversity take control of my life.  I'm a hard worker and I strive to be successful on and off the football field.  I'm on the right track academically maintaining a 3.3 GPA while taking Pre AP courses and balancing football, track, wrestling, and power-lifting.  On the field, I always play with a sense of passion and aggression and I never back down from a challenge.  In life, when I'm facing obstacles, I always consult my mentors, coaches, and parents.  I'm always respectful to the people around me and God because I believe that you can't get through life with out respect for yourself and others.  My advantage as a cornerback is that I have studied the wide receiver position and I am instinctively aware of what to expect from my opponent.  I believe the traits and skills I posses will be a great addition to a collegiate football program.
