Ty Smith '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ty Smith, and I am a Junior at Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas.  I play defensive tackle.  I am beginning to research universities where I can positively contribute to a team while working towards my academic and athletic goals. 

Currently, I have a 3.6 GPA.  I am taking advanced classes, and I am on track to graduate with a distinguished diploma. 

I began playing football when I was 7 years old. Over the years, football has played a crucial role in my development as a respectful and disciplined individual. I strive to be an exceptional leader and loyal teammate on and off the field. I am always looking for ways to improve through my strong work ethic, and I display true grit. 

Besides playing football, I am a competitive powerlifter. As a sophomore I was top 5 in the region and a state qualifier. This year I placed 1st in the region and plan to place top 3 in the upcoming state meet. My raw numbers are 525/365/600 (s/b/d).
