Christian Gibson '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello future Coach(es)!  My name is Christian Gibson and I currently attend Mansfield High School (6A) in North Texas.  I recently transferred from Lake Ridge High School (5A) in the Mansfield Texas School District, where in the 2017 season I was the starting Quarterback for the Junior Varsity team my sophmore year. I have uploaded some of my highlights from this season where we were 8-0 in district games.   I have played primarily Quarterback from little league divisions/teams, all the way up to high school.  I have also played the positions of Safety, Cornerback, receiver, long snapper and punter.  I have played football now for approximately 10 years and really would like the opportunity to continue this sport into the collegiate level.  My desire is to play for a college/university that matches my abilities/skills/talents with their athletic football program.  At the same time, I am able to define my talents/abilities to their skill set which will compliment both the team and the overall football program.  I have had a very unique experience in playing football internationally.  My father was assigned to the US Embassy in Mexico City, MX, where I was fortunate to attend an international based school - the American School Foundation.  They had an American based football program at the school, where I tried out for the team, was selected and was selected as the Quarterback for the middle school team.  This opportunity also allowed me to advance in culture and in my Spanish speaking abilities. In academics, I have always at least maintained a 3.5 GPA and have received awards for such.  With my capabilities, skills, talents and discipline, I would be a solid choice for any assignment the team/coaches need.
