I am a multi-purpose player. I have played both wide receiver and place kicker on the Varsity team at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville since my Sophomore year. I can play either position and would excel at both.
As a wide receiver: I have been the starting receiver on the Varsity team for 3 years. My team had 2 D1 running backs this year and a top 4 star RB last year, so our team has been mainly a running team for the past few years. Even though we're a running team, I have been a key player on the team, helping to open up the field to make plays. I am known as an aggressive blocking receiver but catch balls that are thrown my way. I run precise routes and have great hands. I know I don't fit the 'profile' but I can assure you that if given the opportunity, I would be a valuable slot receiver for your team.
As a place kicker: I have also been the team place kicker for the past 3 years. I am about 99% on my extra point attempts and have the school record for total number of field goals for the past 2 seasons. This past season I had the game winning field goal against our biggest rival in overtime and also kicked a long of 40 yards and made second team all-district. I perform very well under pressure and have made the difference between winning and losing in many games this season.
I was recognized as a Div 16-4A prospect in Dave Campbell's 2010 and 2011 Texas Football Magazine. I also received the 2nd team Texas UIL All-District Receiver and Academic All-District Team awards for my Junior season and 2nd team All-district kicker this year. I have been spending my time with my speed coach, Howard Ware, Track Coach at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. I am also working very hard in the weight room to become more explosive and improve my 4.6 40 time.
I work hard in the classroom and on the field and am a natural leader. I lead by example and am currently part of the Pflugerville ISD Leadership Experience Program and the PALS (Peer Assistance Leadership Skills) program at my high school. I was recently selected as the KBVO and Academy Sports Scholar Athlete of the Week for the Austin area. My GPA is 4.12 on a 5 point scale. I have received the Academic All-district award for 2 years and this year also received the Academic-All State award for my senior year. My desired major is Pre-Law. I am looking for a school with a high focus on academics as well as football and would consider playing at any level. I am open to schools both in and out of Texas.
