Nick McCrory '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0" outside-linebacker/defensive end from Port Lavaca, TX. I have been on the Calhoun High School varsity team since my freshman year and started for 3 years. This year I have earned Texas APSE First Team All State Linebacker, and 30-4A District MVP. I earned 1^st team all-district 4A my sophomore and junior years, and earned 2^nd team all-area and TSWA all-state honorable mention my junior year. I have been a team captain my junior and senior years and was a delegate to American Legion Boys State. I have a 4.2 GPA , ranked 16th of 270 in my class and am a current member of the National Honor Society.

I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. I would like to pursue a university with a department in the field of engineering. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I believe my best fit would be at the DII level, and possibly DI level. But I will absolutely consider high academic DIII opportunities as well.
