I have always looked up to my parents because of all the struggles they went through. My father has been a police officer and while doing so he was finishing college. He had to become a teacher because he was critically injured in the line of duty. So for the past 3 or 4 years I would come up and help him around the house and he was so devoted to finishing college it was actually inspiring. My mom has a low paying job and is in college and is working so hard she wants to be a teacher. Currently, she is working at a grocery store and she is such a hard worker. I help both my parents around the house but I mainly live with my mom, but they will always inspire me.
In middle school, I got interested in football. My dad and I would watch football every Sunday when I was with him, every Thanksgiving we go for our yearly game. I loved the sport because it was fun and great way to stay in shape and to make friends. But I play football to win, stay in a cohesive team, develop endurance, and to work on my organization. This sport requires discipline and perseverance.
My goals for high school and college is to continue making good grades to make my parents proud and also so that way I could become an engineer and work my dream job. I had no way to get to school but then my grandparents decided they wouldn’t mind taking me to school. However, I would have to wake up at 4 am and in the middle of the week they would let me stay at their house. During summers we would do the same thing so I could go to summer workouts for football.
