A free college education is, and has always been a priority for me to obtain in order to help my parents as much as I can in order to pay my way through college. Throughout the years I have put countless hours of blood, sweat, and tears into the game that I love, football. I began playing when I was eight years old, and it quickly escalated from a game to a lifestyle. I became dedicated to bettering myself, and becoming the player that I want to be. Although I did get improve, I refused to settle for anything less than perfect. I strive to better myself as a player, and improve by the day. I have had my ups and downs, but my determination never lessened, and I continued to work hard.
But as much as I love the sport of football, I know that grades are the key factor. I do my best everyday to balance football and education. I work equally hard on the field and in the classroom. Education will get me through life and I know the importance of it. I should only attempt to get a football scholarship if my athletic skills are equivalent to my academic skills. My lifelong commitment to my dreams of attending college as a student athlete will definitely help carry me through to reach my ultimate goals.
