Personal Statement
Throughout my football career at Rowlett High School, I have learned to be mission-driven. This has been my personal motto that I will carry for the rest of my life. No matter what obstacles I will face or have faced, I have a mission. I have to stay hungry. I have to continue to be disciplined, take my mistakes as learning opportunities to improve, and get back up and go after it.
One of the things, I challenge myself daily is that no matter who is in the room with me, whether it is the star of the team or the top academic scholar in my class, is that no one will outwork me. Whatever they put in, I will put in more. My dad taught me from a young age, there will always be someone bigger then you, but they will never out-work you if you are mission-driven.
I believe I would be the ideal candidate for your football program. I have been an anchor on defense for Rowlett for the past three years, helping this elite program continue the tradition of 15 straight years of playoffs for the biggest district in Texas football (6A). I can play multiple positions, all the linebackers slots, strong safety, and can cover a wide range. I run track, winning multiple meets through my career, been clocked at the Adidas Rivals at 4:49 and as well as being the strongest athlete at my school (bench 365) I am a student of the game is very coach-able. I take critical feedback with a passion so that I can improve. I always put the team first. I am a competitor and I know that I would enhance your football program. I have the team over individual mentality, but I am mission-driven to be the best at what I do.
