Jacob Stafford '14 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Jacob Stafford. I am a senior at Shiner High School in Shiner, Texas. I am 17 years old, 6ft tall, weigh 215 pounds, run a 4.6 40 yard dash and started at middle linebacker and quarterback/running back for our varsity football team. In 2011 I was named the Offensive Player of The Year in my district, was nominated 1st Team inside linebacker with 120 plus tackles, and All-state honorable mention.  For the 2012 season I continued at MLB on defense and changed to FB on offense.  I was the district defensive player of the year, 1st team fullback, all-area linebacker and all-state linebacker.  I had 150+ tackles, 3 interceptions and 17 TDs on the season.  Last year we won the regional final and fell one game short of playing for a state title.  I have a real passion for sports (football in particular), my school work, and hunting. While maintaining a 100+ grade average since I started school, I have competed at the varsity level in football, track, and baseball. Although I am young, I believe I can offer not only direct leadership to a team but I also can lead by example. I have a strong desire to win and have worked extremely hard to get myself not only in physical shape, but also in mental shape. I hope to attend a strong academic university to study in the medical field and to compete at the highest level of competition I can for football.  I have game film and highlights from this season already on Hudl.  Thank you for you time and consideration.
