Samuel (Sam) Scribner '14 Recruiting Profile

I will bring to your University the will to succeed in everything I commit to during my college experience.  My best academic achievements have come from maintaining close to a 4.0 GPA throughout my high school career and also being accepted into the National Honor Society.  This is due to my strong work ethic and desire to be the best I can in what I do.  I was the Senior Captain of the Varsity football team this year and was a leader along with Captain in previous years.  I have received many football honors:  1st Team All District Defense 2012 & 2013; Red River 22 1st Team 2012 & 2103.  I have always attended Pre AP and AP classes throughout high school.  I worked part time at a fast food restaurant for the last year and a half along with playing football and keeping my grades up.  I have done community service at our local Humane Society for the National Honor Society.  I have learned to deal with many different types of people and learned to adapt to different opinions and beliefs.  This versatility will assist me in understanding people and the way they function in the world today.  I believe that this trait is a necessity in being successful in the modern world today.  My hope for my college experience is to be open-minded to other perspectives and aspects of the world we live in and grow from that experience.  I look forward to the opportunity of attending your University and commit to making the most of my college experience along with being as successful as possible in all aspects of life in the future.
