Greetings and Talofa lava! I am Nehru Faalevao and I am currently seeking an opportunity to further my studies and football career in college. I started having a passion for the sport of football at the age of 5 while watching pro-athletes in the NFL. Watching great athletes such as Troy Polamalu to Tom Brady really lifted my love for the game and motivated me to experience such a challenge, and that was playing the game of football. I started playing football in the 7th grade and from there continued my journey as a player and student of the game. People have always enjoyed watching me play and have helped me not only become a better athlete, but as a person as well.
Going into high school brought a new atmosphere with even more challenges. I played Rugby and competed in Track during my freshmen year before starting to play football during my sophomore year. Being a rookie did not bring much as I hoped until I was given the opportunity to prove my abilities to my team and that was doing what I do best, playing football. During my senior year, I was nominated by my teammates as a team captain for our Union High School football team. This great opportunity was a learning experience that taught me the importance of communication, selfless-service, teamwork, and to prioritize and balance my time between my studies and football. I played Quarterback, Cornerback, and also Wide Receiver during my last season and I was capable to learn, adapt, and perform my assigned tasks to the best of my abilities. I consider myself as someone reliable, self-motivated, and a humble person. I believe in myself and I am very confident that I have a natural talent, skills, and the potential to be a successful student-athlete in college.
Thank you,
Nehru Faalevao
