I started participating in sports at a very young age. My family was very active in sports. My mother had a huge influence on me as she was an alternate on the 1996 United States Olympic Judo Team and a silver medalist in the Pan American games. From an early age I was taught that discipline, dedication and integrity are all key elements to being successful on the field of play. Through sports I have gained self-confidence and I have built strong leadership skills.
I am currently a senior at a college prep high school located in Washington State, Archbishop Murphy High School. The school is known for strong academics as well as excellent sports programs. When I entered high school, I was one of two freshmen to make the Varsity football team. By my junior year of high school, I started on both sides of the ball. I am a versatile player who has played a variety of positions including running back, slot, linebacker, middle linebacker, full back and safety. I am also extremely coachable and believe that each coach has something to offer. My junior year I was named the Most Improved Player of the Year and I also was given the highest award in the strength and conditioning program of all football athletes. My Senior year I was named a Captain of the team. Iwas also named Offensive MVP Player of the year. I lead the Northwest Division 2A in both rushing yards and touchdowns and was recently named to the 2nd All Conference Team and to the State All Star Team (Cancer vs. Cleats). I
I am extremely committed to excellence both on and off the field. I train year-round in football and play 7vs7 in the off season in order to keep my skill set strong as well as my conditioning at high performance level. During the off season, I also put in additional speed and agility training as well as position specific training at Sport Fords Performance Center in Bellevue. Washington.
My goal is to be a successful student athlete at the college level and contribute to the success of my college team while achieving my bachelor's degree. I believe that teams with strong unity are the most successful and that attitude and work ethic are the keys to success. Professionally, my long-term goal is to work in the sports arena as a coach or in sports management as an administrator. Thank you for viewing my profile and I look forward to speaking with you.
