Personal Statement
Personal Statement for Logan Bruce-Jones
I have been playing tackle football since I was ten years old. I had played flag football, baseball and select basketball but couldn’t wait to play tackle football. I have been blessed with incredible coaches and a loving family who have made me the person/athlete I am today. I am also a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, on track team and feel this has helped me in the classroom.
My goals are to do well in school, win a state championship for Lake Stevens High School, play college football and obtain my bachelors degree in Construction Management. I have an uncle in Seattle who builds homes and I work with him to make extra money during the off season.
I transferred from a private Christian Academy to Cavelero Mid-High School in 8th grade and won numerous league championships on a local club football team. In 9th grade, I would take a bus to practice at Lake Stevens High School and learned a lot about responsibility, teamwork, discipline and the Viking Way. I was one of five freshmen that lettered on the varsity squad and have started every year since.
I work out constantly in the weight room plus have speed & agility. I am trained by Michael Bumpus with Elite Training in Monroe, Washington and Ford Sports Performance in Bellevue, WA. These incredible coaches have helped me become an AP All-State starter in the Washington and a 3-Star athelete by 247 Sports my junior year.
In the classroom I study hard and maintain a good GPA. I volunteer at local youth football camps and intend on joining DECA and other community clubs. My goal is to be a home builder and coach football after I complete my college degree. My family owns a real estate office in Seattle and I have been around construction all my life.
I want to attend a university that will help me grow as a person and football player. I am not afraid of hard work on the football field or the class room. I am a total team player and I want to be on a team where other players are like family yet we push each other to be better and win championships.
