Matthew Finlan '27 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to join a team that not only values my skills on the field, but also my character off of it. I want to be part of a team that'll help me grow as an athlete and more importantly, as a person. I believe in the power of team spirit and how it can lift every player to reach heights they didn't even know they could achieve.

What sets me apart from other recruits is my relentless drive. I work hard in every practice, in every game, and in every class. I believe that commitment, discipline, and dedication are the keys to success in both football and academics. I may be young, but I'm determined to give my best in everything I do.

In terms of academics, I am as focused in the classroom as I am on the field. My parents have always emphasized the importance of education, and it's something I've taken to heart. I understand that being a student athlete means carrying the responsibility of performing well acadically alongside athletic performance.

In character, I've always been the one to pick a teammate up when they're down, to cheer the loudest for others, and to treat everyone with respect. I believe in integrity and honesty, and I apply these values to every aspect of my life, including football.

If given the opportunity, I promise to bring these qualities to your team, and work tirelessly towards our shared goal of success. I am looking forward to a future where I can contribute to a college football team, learn from my teammates and coaches, and make my family proud.
