Simon Berkey '19 Recruiting Profile

I am willing, and pride myself, on being the hardest worker in the room. For what I lack, I can make up for with my mind and understanding of the game and academics. I will outwork any other player on the team to earn my spot, and keep working until I have achieved my goal.  I have played football since I was twelve years old, and really have fallen in love with the sport since then.  

Growing up in the state of Washington, some of my favorite activities involve camping in the Oregon or Washington wilderness, and just spending time outside in general.  I love the area in which I have grown up, and it has really shaped me as a person.  One of my most important goals when choosing a college is to make sure that it is really a good fit for me.  This means I must love the campus, then make sure that the college or university is a great fit for me academically.  After that, I will begin to work towards playing football at the school.

For me, it does not matter how big the school or how big the challenge is.  After I decide where I am going to go to school, I will do whatever it takes to achieve my goal of making the team.
