Personal Statement
I am a two-sport student-athlete with a strong desire to be a collegiate student-athlete. Football is my favorite and preferred sport. I also play rugby. I have worked hard at both sports over the years to excel personally and earn the respect of my teammates, coaches and opponents. My high school football team were Cascade League Conference champions and also Washington State Academic champions. As a Sophomore I was a starter on defense, on special teams and earned an athletic letter. As a freshman I received the Coaches’ Award for the Most Improved Player. As a rugby player, I am a member of the Seattle Vikings Rugby Club, and in 2018-2019 I also was part of the Washington State Loggers, a selects rugby organization, both of which included travel to Canada for matches.
I also made Honor Roll for the year 2018-2019.
As I head into my Junior year, I will continue to work on my studies, GPA, and high school leadership. Athletically, I continue to spend my time working to improve my skills and strength knowing that my best competition is doing the same.
I am looking for a college experience where I can compete and excel in the classroom, the field - and beyond. I would like to attend a university with an outstanding academic reputation, a competitive athletic program that believes in development and opportunity, and a supportive alumni association. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an impact on the team and compete. Ideally I would find my fit in a DI school, although I will consider other schools with high academic opportunities.
