Hi coaches my name is Matt Garrity and I play Defensive End and Center at Waukesha South High School. My dad (Tom Garrity) played football at The University of Michigan and my older brother (TJ Garrity) is currently playing football at Northwest Missouri State. My goal is to go play college football and contribute to a team with a lot of hard work and passion.
I believe that i can play college football because of my hard work and dedication. I work outed 3 times a day last year because my football coaches wanted me to gain weight. I was 175 my freshman year and now in my junior year I am 230. I believe that working hard will pay off for me personally and to help my team. Before my junior year my team asked me to play center because of injuries which was a position I have never played in my entire life. I worked hard the entire season trying to learn and compete and I ended up earning a All-Conference mention in my first year playing center. I think this shows how I am a very hard working player and I do what is best for the team even if I don’t think it is the best for me.
It has always been my dream to play football at the next level either at the D1, D2 or D3 level. I have already been contacted by teams like Michigan State, Illinois State and D2 teams. I am trying to find a school that is the right fit for me as a player but also a person. Thank you coaches for taking the time to read and view my profile and I hope to hear back from you soon!
