Max Moran 2021/22...87 miles per hour is the average speed of a collegiate lacrosse ball fired on goal; I live to stop the missile. I’m Max Moran, a rising junior at San Ramon Valley High School-National School of Excellence and California Distinguished School. I am a 3-year varsity lacrosse goalie and take pride in my performance on the field and my commitment to my team and coaches. I work hard off the field too, and am on track to achieve a 15% lift in my GPA at the end of this semester.
I train hard in the gym everyday, use a nutrition app to it’s fullest, and train agility, speed, accuracy and power. In the last twelve months I have shed 20 pounds while gaining 11 pounds of muscle mass and have seen increases in quickness and reaction time inside and outside the pipes. I am self-motivated and accountable for my actions.
I love the sport of lacrosse! I’m passionate about my role as a goalie and thrive as a leader on my team, earning the respect of my teammates. During the summer months I work with a nationally-recognized collegiate goalie to reinforce fundamentals while fine-tuning my clears and my close game. I too, work as a mentor to several youth goalies in my community to help them grow their skill sets in the sport. I’m looking forward to continuing my acceleration in college and am confident that I would be an asset to any team.
