My name is Aiden Kenney, and I am a rising senior, 2026 graduation year at The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland. Throughout my time at BL, especially in the upper school, I’ve prided myself on being a true student-athlete. I am a dedicated student enrolled in the most rigorous courses (all honors and AP), and one of the hardest-working athletes on the field. I hold myself to a high standard both academically and athletically, having earned honors and dean’s list recognition while consistently putting in extra time to improve my game.
I’ve been playing lacrosse since I was five years old, starting in my local recreation league, then advancing to club lacrosse, and now representing my school in one of the most competitive high school lacrosse leagues in the country, the MIAA A Conference. As a freshman and sophomore, I was one of the leading point scorers on the JV team and earned a spot 2nd line midfield spot on Varsity as a junior with significant playing time every game. I strive to lead by example both on and off the field, and my coaches often describe me as one of the hardest-working and most coachable players on the team.
Within the Boys’ Latin community, I have served in various leadership and mentoring roles through various clubs and programs at BL. I help uphold the school’s honor code and mission both on and off the field. Beyond lacrosse, I’m also involved in several clubs and play on the varsity soccer team.
I’m looking for a school where I can continue to thrive as a student-athlete, maintaining a strong balance between academics and athletics. I’m confident I can contribute meaningfully to any school, team, and community I become part of.
