I’ve been told that I’m a great athlete my entire life, and my athleticism has allowed me to excel in several sports, including basketball, soccer, football, and track and field. However, basketball is my passion, and I have realized that to excel in basketball, athleticism is not enough, so I’ve been focusing my time and energy on constantly improving all aspects of my game. I think my athleticism combined with my discipline, drive, and skill set will make me an asset to any college basketball program.
More importantly, I have also excelled in the classroom. Over the years, I have enjoyed such challenges as competing on the math team, participating in the Duke Talent Identification Program, and pursuing an advanced curriculum. I am also active as a Student Leader at my church and I also serve as a Peer Helper at Hoover High School. Peer Helpers volunteer at the local elementary and middle schools on a daily basis. I also work as a Junior Counselor after school at Trace Crossings Elementary School to earn extra money.
I enjoy the challenges and the rewards of being a student athlete, and I hope to continue my success as a student athlete in college.
