Brandon Wharton '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brandon Wharton and I am a senior at Shades Mountain Christian School in Birmingham, Alabama.  I am 6'2'' and weigh 185 lbs. I am an excellent shooter and ball handler and although my natural position is shooting guard I can play the point or small forward positions effectively.  I have updated my NCSA profile to include highlights from the first half of the 2013-2014 season and have included two full game videos.  One game is our first area tournament game in February 2014 when I had 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 steals and the other game is from late December 2013 when I scored 33 points including 19 in the fourth quarter to help our team win by double digits despite leading by only a small margin at the end of the third quarter.  Our team finished the season 17-7 and was ranked #8 in the final regular season Alabama Sports Writers Association Poll in Class 1A.   

My goal is to play college basketball at the highest level possible. I work hard on my game and believe I can compete at a low to mid-level D1 school or at the DII, NAIA or DIII level. I would prefer to play and go to school somewhere in the Southeast, but would go anywhere in the U.S. for the right opportunity. I am currently undecided on what I would like to study in college, but would love for basketball to be part of my future career.  Thanks for reviewing my information and considering me for your collegiate program.
