Benjamin Kmak '23 Recruiting Profile

  My name is Benjamin Kmak, and I am a 5'11 160lb G attending Cienega High School. Ever since I have picked up a basketball at age 9, I immediately found a love and passion for the game of basketball.  As a senior, I have 4 years of varsity experience. 

 As only a freshman, I played pre-season varsity and practiced with them regularly. I was a starter on JV and won Offensive Player of the year. Afterwards, all my hard work paid off when I was moved up to varsity for the state playoffs as only a freshman. The following year, I was the youngest starter in the varsity lineup the 2021 season as a sophomore. I led the team in scoring, 3's made and %, assists, and steals. I was the only sophomore to make the All-Region 2nd team and was Southern Arizona's 5A Underclassmen of the Year. As a junior I made the All-Region team again and broke two single game school records: 47 points and 9 threes. As a senior and my last year of high school ball, I am looking to leave an impact and legacy at Cienega High School, on and off the court, a region championship banner, and a deep playoff run.

 Throughout my 4 years of high school, I have accumulated a cumulative 4.78 weighted GPA and 3.91 unweighted GPA. I have always had a love for mathematics and been interested in engineering. However, my main choice of study is exercise science/kinesiology and I want to become a physical therapist. I love the sports medicine side of things and I am fascinated by anatomy and physiology and helping people by rehabilitating sports injuries. I pride myself of my work ethic on the court and in the classroom to achieve my goals and aspirations of playing collegiate basketball.
