Latrell Wilson '13 Recruiting Profile

I currently am playing for the Cabrillo College Seahawks in Aptos, CA. 

My name is Latrell Wilson and I'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I'm a very efficient, athletic wing who can step out and shoot the three and drive with the best of them. Because I'm a great passer I'd say my primary position is Point Guard but this year I played Shooting Guard and Small Forward a little more than Point Guard.

My Junior Year I won the Humboldt-Del Norte Sixth Man Of The Year Award. I think I won this award due to my consistency in all aspects of the game, especially scoring when we needed a basket, and my ability to lock down the other teams premier scorer with my lateral quickness and length. . What helps me in my basketball game is my athleticism, I have very long arms and I am a gifted jumper. Because I can jump so high it makes finishing with contact rather easy, and me being able to drive opens up my outside shots.

My Senior Year(2013) I was awarded Team MVP and got 1st team all-league. The team relied heavily on my scoring and I lead the team with 16 points/game, 5 rebounds/game, and 3.5 assists/game. I shot 52% from the field (186-357) and 44% from the 3pt. Line (47-107). My biggest strength is efficiency, I don't take bad shots and don't need a bunch of shots to score a lot of points. 

I have had a basketball in my hands since the age of three. My dad and uncle were the ones who first introduced me to the awesome game of Basketball. My family and I are huge Golden State Warrior fans which kind of lead to me being named after Latrell Sprewell. Basketball is my passion and my one true love in life. I take it more serious than everybody and I am and always will be the hardest worker on whatever team I'm on. My life-long goal has been to play basketball in college. I'm open to all types of schools but preferably a school with a good athletic program and good academics as well. I feel like I can help a team right away and I'll be thankful for wherever I can get an oppurtunity to showcase my abilities.
