  • One of the big keys to the game, especially early on, was the Yellow Jackets’ play inside. Ripon Christian has two giants down low in 6’9” senior Walker Postma and 6’5” EJ Bruno who against a smaller Berkeley team, looked to go to work underneath the basket. Berkeley’s bigs in Noah Miller and Eddie Weber-Stover battled down low, as they kept the two Ripon Christian bigs relatively quiet on the boards. It was offensively where the two went to work, as they were able to force the bigs out of the paint and knock down the shots when they needed to. Miller and Weber-Stover combined for 17 points and three threes in the first half, providing a driving force for the Yellow Jackets. “We knew they were a little skinny and we saw on tape they could be pushed around,” said Miller. “Our goal was to box them out and keep them off the offensive glass and stay in front of them.” https://westcoastpreps.com/yellow-jackets-survive-berkeley-holds-on-to-win-in-nail-bitter-against-ripon-christian/
