As early as I can remember, I always held a basketball in my hands. Although, I was exposed to other team sports, my dedication and passion for basketball increased. Playing basketball has allowed me to develop my leadership skills and I have learned how to work as a team player, have patience, and listening skills. I show my leadership skills on the court through my observing, encouraging, and communicating with my teammates. I also have court vision which allows my teammates to make great plays. What separates me from other Point Guards is that I am fast which allows me to push the ball down the court quickly and I am very good a changing directions. I can learn quickly, take direction, anticipate plays, and have strong ball handling skills. I am also able to improve my strengths and correct my weaknesses. I push myself beyond expectations during practice and during games because I want to play basketball at the collegiate level and beyond.
I also show my leadership skills through my volunteer activities and through my studies. I am currently a volunteer for the City of Cerritos Recreation Division and I am in the process of becoming a Law Enforcement Explorer.
Education is extremely important to me. I strive to do my best in all my subjects to maintain a high GPA. I want to attend a college that will challenge me to be a great basketball player and a studious college student. I hope to become a great role model to others while I pursue my basketball career.
