Hi my name is Marcus Covaleski. I fell in love with the sport of basketball ever since I was 5 years old watching my sister practice with her team and from there I grew a passion for this game. I have learned to be a leader on and off the court. I can score at all levels of the floor and I take pride in my defense because I feel like that is what wins games. I am a student of the game and always willing to learn and take in new things to help uplift my skills physically and mentally. I am also a gym rat and always want to continue improving my game 24/7 no matter where I am. This is my second year on Varsity in the Mission League and playing vs the top teams and D1 players on a nightly basis. Off the court I am an honors student finishing with a 4.3 in my sophomore year and now taking multiple honors classes and an AP class as a junior.
Throughout my life I have played with many great coaches who taught me valuable lessons and helped me be the player I am. I continue to work with Clint Parks to uplift my game. I have played for Mike Farmer(Pierce College Head Coach) at Hard Work Basketball, Andre Chevalier (Sierra Canyon Head Coach) at California Basketball Club (CBC), Rolo Nuñez (Faith Baptist Head Coach) at G1 Elite, Sean Farnham (ESPN Analyst) and Russell White (California Lutheran College Head Coach) at Wolfpack Basketball, and now with Andrew Moore at Crespi Carmelite High School where I am a Junior in the class of 2023. I will continue playing throughout the summer with Coach Julius V(head advisor at Southern California Academy) at California Stars.
My biggest inspirations are my parents because they have given me the opportunity to do what I love and they are very hardworking people. I have 2 older sisters. 1 is a graduate from University of Santa Barbara and the other is dancing at San Diego Ballet.
Basketball has always been a passion of mine and playing at the next level is my next step that I want to achieve in my life.
