Personal Statement

My name is David Kollins and I am a High School Senior Shooting Guard and Point Guard.  I have a true love for the game of Basketball.  You will not find a player more dedicated, committed and willing to put in the time and hard work needed to succeed than me.  Currently I practice basketball at least two hours every day, I run in the mornings, and I work with a personal trainer to fine tune my skills.  I attended UCLA Basketball Camp for the past three summers and I am currently in the ARC Hoops league.  My personal best is a tournament game where I scored 18 points, verified on maxpreps.com.  I believe I become a better player every day, but I still have a lot to learn and welcome coaching and constructive criticism.
I consider myself a well rounded person.  I have a 3.64 overall GPA, a part time job at a Deli as a counter and delivery person, more than 150 hours of community service performed to date, and I have 13 hours flight time towards my pilot license.  I have learned valuable leadership skills the past two summers as a C.I.T. at camp and I volunteer for Food on Foot, a private organization that feeds and clothes the homeless and helps find them jobs and housing.
I would be honored to play College Basketball.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions and thank you for viewing my profile.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
