College basketball is something I have always wanted to do and it has been a goal of mine to play at the college level. Throughout high school I have challenged myself by taking honors and AP classes such as AP Physics and Precalculus. I have played varsity basketball since I was a freshman at Healdsburg High School. I am now a junior, with 1,000 career points. My freshman year I received league honorable mention and both sophomore and junior year I was elected first team all league. Since freshman year I have played AAU in the off-season against a high level competition. I am dedicated to becoming the best I can be in the classroom and on the court.
In addition to basketball my other interests include: FFA, playing guitar, hiking and community service. I received the FFA State Award 2016. I have successfully raised and sold pigs for my FFA project for 3 years. In my community I have been involved with helping prepare and service meals at a local free kitchen.
In the summers for the past 2 years I have worked at a Michelin Star Restaurant here in Healdsburg called Madrona Manor. I have helped service at weddings and at dinner service. This has taught me about hard work and team work too.
