To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Sean Morgan and I'm entering my senior year of high school, c/o 2024.
I can and will give you a list of my highlights and attributes regarding my basketball career, but I don't want to start that way. I would like to first tell you about me academically.
I would be a good look for any college that recruits or accepts me. I stand on a 4.3 GPA, I was a member of the Junior Honor Line, I've taken and will continue to take Advance Placement (AP) and honors classes, I'm the president of the BSU, as well as a part of the key club, bible club, the varsity basketball team (all three years that I've completed), and a member of the basketball club. Most importantly, I was raised with, what I consider, great morals and values and I work daily to perfect and maintain a great character.
Now, on to basketball:
I've played the sport, without pause, since I was five years old. Starting in recreational leagues, moving to AAU, then to Junior High and High School. I've worked to perfect my craft and passion over the years for this moment. The moment where I'd have the opportunity to play for a university and potentially professionally. I've always soared in AAU and travel basketball, but my junior year of high school was my breakout year. I averaged 13.1 points per game (season high of 27 point), I averaged 10 rebounds per game (season high of 15), and I led the league in double doubles, averaging 10 per game and rebounds. I was a key part of taking my team to CIF and State playoffs, scoring some of the game winning baskets and I ended the season as League All First Team.
However, I did not start my career as the "best" player of the team. I've worked HARD to get to that point. My inner dog would not allow me to quit nor be ok with mediocrity. I practice with my team four hours a day and have individual workouts for another two hours daily. I listen, take directions, and watch the game to help build my basketball knowledge. Defensively, I've made a name for myself locally. I'm a big guy, but I'm agile and most small guards don't expect that when they work to get a switch on me. Basketball is my passion and I’ve put in the work to make it a future as well.
Since I was two years old, you could always find me with a ball in my hands and my future plans and goals are to keep it that way.
I look forward to hearing from your school.
With high regards and abundant respect,
Sean
