I love playing basketball – the physicality, the strategy, and the feeling you get when you play well with your teammates. Basketball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have played for my school teams and for AAU teams in Oakland and the East Bay and played against the best teams in Northern California. While some teams have been better than others, each has had something to teach me about basketball and about life.
While I am very confident in my skills and abilities, I believe that I have only scratched the surface of what I can achieve in basketball. I am completely focused on upping my game, developing my skills and getting stronger. My coaches have told me that I am a very intelligent player and I have worked to be a good teammate. I can see the court and have strong defensive skills. I am excited to work hard in the next months and senior year to become the first option from the perimeter and attacking the rim.
I attend a very rigorous and academically focused high school that demands a lot from me. I am looking for an opportunity to be part of a college basketball program that will allow me to experience that same intensity and excellence on the basketball court. I want to take to take my game to the next level in college, fulfill my goals and make a real contribution to my team.
