Erick Balcazar '19 Recruiting Profile

    Hello my name is Erick Balcazar.I am 17 years old and I am currently a junior playing varsity basketball at Quartz Hill high school. I am a good candidate for the team becasue I have an amazing work ethic and I can influence my other teamates to get better. I can be a leader on and off the court. In college I want to achieve my Master's degree in the medicine field. I feel in the medicine field,I can help many people out and that is important to myself when I pick this major. My goals is to be successful in basketball,school, and in the community. I have completed for than 50 plus hours of service in the community. I know I am different from other recruits because I also care about my school work and have pushed myself in honors classes since middle school. Basketball is very important to me but it does not stop me from my succeeding in my Honors and Ap classes. I have been balancing school and basketball for quite some time and it shows great in my grades.I will be a great piece on any team because my character and leadership can help the team win games and also build other people's characters and that is what basketball is all about. It makes you a better person.
