It is extremely difficult to find a player with a higher basketball I.Q. than myself, and to find someone who loves the game more than I do. Because I am already at a "disadvantage" (though it is only a disadvantage if you choose to perceive it as such), the desire to work hard for what I want to accomplish has resonated deeply with me. Bottom line: I take what I do seriously.
100% confident in my ability to not only play but succeed at the next level, I know my hard work will not fail me. Because my dad is a coach and director of Snow Valley Basketball School, I have been surrounded by top high school, college, NBA and NBA D-League coaches my whole life (literally, my entire life). Having access to pick their minds and also work with them, I absolutely know what it takes to be successful in the game and know that it's by no means easy. Here is what evaluators have said about me:
“2018 – 5’9” Mt. Carmel/Gamepoint , Guard, Nate Middleton is a high-I.Q. lead guard and Big-Time shooter” –
Aaron Burgin of Full Time Hoops
“Good scorer at all 3 levels, but really gets it done from behind the arc. Has deep range from 3 and moves without the ball fairly well” –
Gerry Frietas, SoCal Spring Tip Off
I have proven that I'm a good student and have been successful at a rigorous, nationally accredited high school. I have been a natural born leader, and have the privilege of serving as Vice President of my school's FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) club. I also help lead group workouts in the gym after school several days a week (consistently 20-30 players), improving my leadership ability within a basketball setting. Striving to be the best you can be in each aspect of life and doing so with and honest, complete effort is something that I have sought to embed in my life and is something I urge to others. My ultimate goal is to play professionally, and afterwards work my way to becoming an assistant/player development coach in the NBA. Given the right fit, I will help your team win games, push your players and my fellow teammates to excellence, and bring a unique work ethic and skill set that will develop in your program - all while attaining my degree and getting the most out of my educational opportunities.
