My name is Matthew Corona and playing basketball has always been a passion of mine. My goal is to play basketball at a collegiate level while obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. I’m currently interested in majoring in Health Science because of my desire to help others. I became interested in playing basketball because of my older brother. He is 9 years older than me so playing basketball against older guys really helped shape my game.
Basketball has been a major part of my life and my drive and determination is something that propels me to want to be great. My team's shortcomings in past seasons make me push harder in order to strive for greatness and ultimately win a league championship. This summer, I put in the extra time and effort to expand my game. I’m a student of the game because I watch film of each game to see what I can improve on both offensively and defensively.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me academically and athletically. I know I have the talent to compete for a college team but my basketball ability, character, and work-ethic will allow me to make an impact at the college level.
